Nevermind the Bullocks Tour Day 2

|

IMG_4995A.jpgWaking up the next morning was almost like I never went to sleep. After 36 hours of being up: 12 hour flight, 3 hour train ride, skating all day, 4 hour drive from Leeds to Bristol, dinner, then drinking till 4, I would say that I was ready for sleep (SEE DAY 1). I laid my head down, apparently passed out, then almost immediately opened my eyes to a wakeup call. UGGG...

I got into the elevator, and Jereme Rogers is already in.
"I feel really good today, and ready to skate" he comments.
"Oh?" I question.
"Well yeah, every night since I have been here, I have slept only 2 hours, last night I slept like 10." Jereme retorts.
It looks like I am not the only one who is short on sleep.

IMG_4995.jpgWe all headed downstairs to the van and loaded up for a packed day of skateboarding. We had planned to head to Danny Wainwright's 50-50 skate shop/boutique in Bristol, but somehow the GPS got us lost. IMG_5017.jpgThis is a damn computer, how can it mistake location. But its malfunction was our gain, because we actually found the most awesome spot ever by accident. Rough as shit, but a very simple transition. After a couple of pretty incredible tricks and surprising attacking plants (see video), we made our way to the original destination of 50-50. My first stop was actually the cafe about a block up, for sandwiches and a raspberry smoothly, I couldn't wait to eat. The rest of the guys had loaded up into a another coffee shop up the road and after about 1 hour of eating, chatting and well.. kinda nothing, we were on our way to the second stop.

The second spot was the spot you have seen in every skate video since 411 # 1, and it was just as good as you thought in those videos. From the rumors around the street's, 50-50 skateshop had to cough up a bunch of money to keep this place going, and we were sure glad they did. Everyone shredding the crap out of this place. IMG_5024.jpgRyan "The Flying" Decenzo was hucking over the 3 block, Jereme was right there behind him back to back. ** Joey Brezinski** was handling all these ledge to manny variations, plus Ron Deily (my new favorite skater) was just cruising handling everything that crossed his path! Kris Vile who I had just met yesterday, didn't disappoint with a banger trick down the 3 block almost 4th try!

We spent at least 4 hours at this spot, talking to the locals and hanging out! Autograph's were signed and high fives were given. Chris Nieratko who was on the trip as the writer for our Skateboard Mag article, was just a riot, and his Jersey accent and laugh echo'd throughout the area. Shane Azar who's ribs hurt was yelling and boosting everyone's moral. Things couldn't be better.

IMG_5059.jpgAfterwards, we joined something called "Popup" demo, which who knows what that means. Regardless, it was a get together of a bunch of crazy Britsh skateboarders, at this downhill almost snowboard course (no push) and some loud punk bands. Pretty awesome actually, and I heard the locals say, they would have never imagined Jereme Rogers at their demo! Now after some fresh corn I had bought from the local BBQ, we all finished our day, and hopped back into the van.

IMG_5063.jpgAfter a day well spent, we all came home, Chris tortured Price with tickling tactics, tricks were logged, photos were uploaded, and I spent my time writing up what your reading here, and ordered room service (medium rare steak, I might add). The boys went out to the bar, for a quick tango, and I was probably sleeping by midnight, because tomorrow is another carnage and I want to be ready for it.
