I am a slacking kind of guy, I know my job and I know my place. But just like the next guy, I enjoy hanging out with my bud's and having a brew.

Well, I arrive at Maloof Cup yesterday, covering the finals. The way I see it is everyone is covering the contest. Rob Brink.com has soo much coverage it's insane, not to mention the FUEL.TV, Skateboarding.com and Skate Daily!

So on the way to the street course I got sabotaged by the Zoo York van full of secret brew's. The van door slides open "Heeeeyyyy, Get in here!", they cheer. As soon as I take a seat, they pop a top off the cooler, and it was like golden treasure. If I must remind you, it was about 85 degrees' and I hadn't even gotten to the shade lacking course.

zoovansabotoge.jpgA couple cold ones and a chat with the Zoo TM/BM, and he was notified that the finals were over. Wow, time just flew right past and I spent the entire finals in a van with some ugly dudes. But, at that point, I couldn't really complain.

Finally, best trick was starting (I was also notified via text) and we headed off to witness the last .5 minutes of this already high energy and over covered event.

**Couple updates:
- Some knarly homie 900'd in his run, he won, obvees.
- Some dudes got robbed and should have placed higher. (like in every contest)
- This was the knarlest skating ever in skateboarding history. (I also hear that at every contest)**

So here is my blog post about all the random things that you DIDN'T see at Maloof Cup, don't hesitate to head to a couple of the sites above to view some real skating. Have a good one, and lemme know what you thought below.

I walk onto the course, and its just a media frenzy! No hesitation of fired digital shots.

lon_lon.jpgOk, I am writing this realizing that obviously film is dead for most people. But for a photo novice like me, I still wanna experience what guys i looked up to did when they shot 35mm film. When it happened to me today.. I AM UNDERSTANDING IT, NOW!

The story is, I shot a bunch of film on our Red Bull Nevermind the Bullocks trip to London, and I guess I had lost a roll of film, or left it in my camera. Eitherway, I just recently got developed and it was like a tour back through time to that tour. It highlighted a lot of the people on our trip, and the places we visited. I know I am getting kinda emo/artsy fartsy, but you get the point right? I guess, that it never happens to me much, so might as well write about my bit of excitement. Is that so bad?

Well to really push the point, I posted a bunch of the photos here for you to view.
Plus I saved one for a later TARP post.

1. This was Kris Vile, in our typical travel mode... London Taxi's. How many quid?kv_lon.jpg

2. One of the best views in the world. You really feel like your in a movie or something.
lon_scenic.jpg

3. Obviously being Red Bull, we have tons of great hats to wear, and this was one that once Joey got his hands on it.. He wore it the entire time, even in bed.

4. Jereme was skating in front of our super nice hotel, so I guess our own hotel called the cops. This was the horse cop, giving us crap.. british style!cop_lon.jpg

Second day of Tampa Pro 2009, was insane.. It's really an obvious difference between Tampa Am and Tampa Pro. These guys were amazing.. Watch the video below. And if you havent seen Day 1.. Check that out too!!

Come back for Day 3 and the FINALS!

jb_littleman.jpgToday was a "work day". Meaning we weren't able to skate or do anything that we wanted to. Today was interview's for the Fuel TV show that is released in a couple months. Plus we wanted to see some of the sights so we mixed it up. Pretty cool.

First off was Buckingham Palace. Wait, I forgot to mention it was raining, which sucks for sightseeing, but we made due. Where was I, oh yeah Buckingham Palace: Kinda a bore, it was just a gate with the palace behind it. No guards, other then the ones we created for ourselves. see Azar photo Joey B. made a little friend real quick and was the entertainment of most the crew. Man that little guy can party.

sa_buckingham.jpgThe walk to Big Ben was awesome, because it was through a huge park, with tons of tree's we made friends with some squirrels, who Ryan Decenzo actually picked up and almost was able to pet. It was crazy that they weren't scared. Little piece of chocolate I guess goes a long way, especially for animals.

Once we arrived to the ole Big Ben, which is just a tower. I mean, its cool and old, but simply a clock tower. But when you got a group of goofs, even a clock tower is awesome. Next was the boats. We took these awesome boats from one end of the jr_eye.jpgriver to the other and saw London from the middle of the water, instead of one side or another.

Basically we lerked really hard and just walked around the area for "work". What was a real treat was this London Eye, which is basically a huge ferris wheel type thing which takes like 45 mins to go all the way around and hung out for "work". Joey booked it early, because he had some "beer testing work" to do with Paul Shier. While the rest of us took cabs home for a little break.

IMG_5374.jpgSo after a couple hours of maxing and relaxing, we headed out to a nice dinner with the crew and after a couple drinks, we started to let loose.

Oh did I mention it was our Team Manager Pete's bday? So it was really on! Drinks all around, shots, beers and more shots! I wish I could describe how we all felt when we woke up, but it wasn't a good thing.

IMG_5160_2.jpgFirst days in London are always good. Southbank is super fun, and just local London. I mean, this is one of the most famous cities in all of Europe, much less all of the world!

IMG_5210_2.jpgAnd its always good to start it off with a hearty breakfast. Omlelets was my choice and was scarfed down faster then ever. Jereme was in tow and he seemed ready to rip. Brezinksi on the other hand didnt seem as perky, it must have been the 20 beers on an empty stomach. That can do anyone in.

IMG_5216_2.jpgSo a scenic walk to Southbank, across the bridge, and WHAAT!!! Southbank is closed! Kevin (our tourguide) told us he has never seen anything like that before! SOUTHBANK, CLOSED! But as most skaters do, the fence didnt stop us, we just skinnied right past it and started with the sesh. After a little while, security was called to the spot, and instead of kicking us out, they just moved the fence to seclude one spot, so we could skate the otherside. Pretty cool move in my thoughts.

jr_swbstail.jpgSpot got pretty boring, so on our way to this other spot, we found this steeple or something, that we could skate the bottom. Everyone including Decenzo, Rogers, Vile and others joined in and made it skateable the best they could. It's awesome how sometimes the skateboarders eye can see something, and you can spend hours trying to figure how to skate it. So a couple hours later, we all took taxi's home, and started our dinner sesh. Not sure about our dinner situation, I think it involved wine, beer and steak. Its funny how the nights kinda fade off, and I find myself almost passed out by midnight.

IMG_5069.jpgAhhh beautiful London. Isn't it the best when you wake up in another country, and you look out the window and get psyched to be there! Today was one of those days.

Went to bed last night early, must be some good steak, man. Strolling down stairs the guys must have felt the same way, because everyone was already packedup and playing skate in the circular driveway. The guys had their HUGE BAGS, filled with god knows what... probably a pair of shoes for everyday.

IMG_5000.jpgToday we were heading back to London *(where the crew originally started at). But FIRST we wanted to skate these awesome banks that was about 4 blocks away from the hotel. They had a bunch of skatestoppers in the bank, which made it harder to skate because you had to thread and slide between each break.

Couple knarly tricks went down, I would totally tell you but then why would you read the issue of the The Skateboard Mag this article is soon to be in, plus Matt Price might be mad.

IMG_4995A.jpgWaking up the next morning was almost like I never went to sleep. After 36 hours of being up: 12 hour flight, 3 hour train ride, skating all day, 4 hour drive from Leeds to Bristol, dinner, then drinking till 4, I would say that I was ready for sleep (SEE DAY 1). I laid my head down, apparently passed out, then almost immediately opened my eyes to a wakeup call. UGGG...

I got into the elevator, and Jereme Rogers is already in.
"I feel really good today, and ready to skate" he comments.
"Oh?" I question.
"Well yeah, every night since I have been here, I have slept only 2 hours, last night I slept like 10." Jereme retorts.
It looks like I am not the only one who is short on sleep.

IMG_4995.jpgWe all headed downstairs to the van and loaded up for a packed day of skateboarding. We had planned to head to Danny Wainwright's 50-50 skate shop/boutique in Bristol, but somehow the GPS got us lost. IMG_5017.jpgThis is a damn computer, how can it mistake location. But its malfunction was our gain, because we actually found the most awesome spot ever by accident. Rough as shit, but a very simple transition. After a couple of pretty incredible tricks and surprising attacking plants (see video), we made our way to the original destination of 50-50. My first stop was actually the cafe about a block up, for sandwiches and a raspberry smoothly, I couldn't wait to eat. The rest of the guys had loaded up into a another coffee shop up the road and after about 1 hour of eating, chatting and well.. kinda nothing, we were on our way to the second stop.

IMG_4321.jpgAnyone knows a flight over the Atlantic is long, flying from LAX in Los Angeles, it was a 12 hour overnighter, and I was just on it.

Arriving in London at 8am from a overnight flight, I was a little groggy, but still psyched. The Red Bull Tour in London was already 3 days in, and I had to meet the group in Leeds. 3 hours later and couple bag of chips, I was in Leeds and the crew was already assembled.

IMG_4892.jpg

This crew consisted of in my opinion, some of the best skateboarders ever. But I will detail you on that another post. So we had: Ryan Decenzo, Jereme Rogers, Shane Azar, Mr. Joey Brezinski, Photog Matt Price, Ron Deily, Santa Cruz and Vans UK rider Kris Vile was showing us around. Rb Umali on the HVX camera, Chris Nieratko is writing and his wife, plus Paul from Fuel, Pete the TM and me.. doing the bare minimum possible... just kidding.
