Zered Bassett
Zered Bassett (born February 6, 1984), or Dr. Z as he is nicknamed, is a professional skateboarder for Zoo York and DVS Shoes.
He was born in Hyannis, Massachusetts, grew up in Chatham, Massachusetts and currently resides in Manhattan, New York.
He appears in the Zoo York Skateboard Company videos City of Killers and will have a feature part in their new video coming out early 2009. Vicious Cycle was an independent video Bassett put together and supported in which he had parts of fellow team riders Eli Reed and tons of other great skaters from the east coast. Zered has also been featured in the curtins part of the Digital Skateboarding video titled Divercity and DVS's video called "Skate More".
Zered won the Transworld Skateboarding Magazine 2005 Rookie Of The Year title.
Since then, Zered has also been given his first DVS pro shoe.

Well no, its near Massachusetts and Connecticut. Its been great, we just came home from the beach, taking it easy since I cant skate.

Zered has officially arrived safely home from his Zoo York trip. I asked him a couple questions upon his arrival:
What was his first thing you did when he got home?
"Sat on the couch, chilled and watched TV."
What as the first thing you ate?
"Good Ole' New York American Pizza"
What's up next?
"Maloof Cup in Cali"
Wow, home from a 2 month tour, straight to a contest in LA?
"Yup.."
Looks like it never ends for Zered.
Zered and the Zoo team are currently zipping through Europe.
After an awesome time in Nimes for a signing at Unlimited Skateshop and then a demo at the Nimes skatepark. Today Zered is at Aix En Provence (France) for a signing @ Select Skateshop.
This is the last stop for Dr. Z and he will be returning back home to his wonderful palace of New York. More updates on this tour coming soon!
